We reckon those tastemakers at GQ have their fingers firmly on the pulse. So, we’re chuffed that the MINI Electric Pacesetter has won “Track Car of the Year” at the first ever GQ eCar Awards – a celebration of the best of electric mobility.

This one-of-a-kind interpretation of the MINI Electric is our highest-octane all-electric MINI yet, making its debut as the new Safety Car for the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship on 10 April 2021. It’s been turning heads ever since.

Taking inspiration from the performance character of John Cooper Works, the unique MINI Electric Pacesetter is built for life on the track. GQ’s Paul Henderson said: “Utilising all MINI’s racing heritage, coupled with ultra-modern engineering, 3D carbon fibre printing, and killer handling, this is the e-pocket rocket we all want to see in the future.” We couldn’t agree more.

LEADING BY ELECTRIFYING EXAMPLE.

The ultimate embodiment of our racing history and our electrified future, the MINI Electric Pacesetter was created in collaboration with the FIA and Formula E. Weighing 10% less than the standard MINI Electric, its custom drive system provides 135kW of power to propel it from 0-62 mph in 6.7 seconds – proving you don’t need petrol to make an impact.
